I just bought the Canon EOS M50 Mark II with the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM Lens, but I hate the lighting and it sucks attempting to vlog in certain places. r/Nikon • Slow Autofocus in Low-Light w/ Z6II
Every lens I have seems to be a 1/32 turn of the focus ring off in Auto Focus. I have a 20D that puts my 6D to shame when taking Auto Focus shots with the same lens. My most used lens is a Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM . On my 20D, I can swing around, snap, follow a bird in flight and snap again and have 2 perfectly focused pictures.
Apologies for repeating some issues that have been discussed on some threads, but I haven't found anything relevant to my problem. Just purchased a Canon 1.8 50mm mark 2 to replace my old mark 1 for my Canon 450D. Turning on the camera, the camera bleeps constantly when I press the shutter, but doesnt focus and doesnt shoot.
The camera wont focus in av,tv,B or m mode but will focus in automatic mode and C1,C2, and C3. Ive tried pulling the battery, removing the memory card, restoring user defaults, changing AF points. Tried 2 different lenses, same thing. I haven't dropped it, only thing different was i charged the battery yesterday.
Use AI FOCUS most of the time, since it automatically selects what it needs to do. AI SERVO. In AI SERVO, the 6D continuously tracks the subject. The AF system is always focusing in and out as the subject moves around. Use AI SERVO for sports or action shots of anything that's moving. AF-ON Button top. Canon 6D. enlarge.
The Zone AF (in LiveView) offers the flexibility you mention by allowing you to touch where you want the camera to focus. The joystick on the 5D4 allows easier zone control adjustment via the viewfinder. Its much harder on our camera's using the touchpad and dial, so once again LiveView prevails. ~Rick.
