For some reason Canon does not have their cameras' memory appear as a normal USB device. I have had no problems using DPP, Aperture 3 or Lightroom 4 between my 50D and my Macbook Pro, but I have to use a program. The CF card in the camera does not simply appear as a device to the OS-X finder. Finder doesn't see the CF card.

I get "Connection target not found" Then EOS Utility cycles in opening and closing. Additionally: I cleared all the settings twice and entered the key correctly. In WFT Pairing Software, I connect, EOS Utility pops up, then "Camera Settings/ Remote Shooting" remains grayed out. Also the Camera disappears within WFT Pairing Software.
Mode 1. The shooting operation noise is quieter than with normal shooting through the viewfinder. When you set the drive mode to < >, you can shoot continuously at approx. 3 fps. Mode 2. When you press the shutter button completely, only one shot will be taken. While you keep holding down the shutter button, the camera operation will be suspended.

About all you can do is check the interlock is not set to on, on the SD cards. Probably a good idea to reset the camera too. Menus, tools, clear all settings and clear all custom settings. Its pretty difficult to damage the SD pins in a 6D Mk II or any SD camera for that matter but it can be done. BTW, a new SD card is always a good idea.
